SAC receives money for kitchen improvements

GENTRY — Gentry's Senior Activity Center was notified it would receive $46,000 from the state of Arkansas to make improvements to its kitchen.

The money, councilwoman ClaraGarrett said at the August 3 city council meeting, was from the state legislature and would be used to purchase an oven hood, a dishwasher, a grease trap and possibly an icemaker at the facility so that the seniors could use the kitchen to prepare foods for special events.
