High School PTO Seeks Members And Announces Projects

— The Gravette High School Parent-Teacher Organization announces its membership drive and fundraiser information, according to Peggy Galyean, president of the organization.

"We encourage parents to join PTO which assists in various activities and programs that benefit our students and teachers," she said.

"Our goals for this year include providing quarterly recognition to students for their academic achievements, providing two $500 scholarships for graduating seniors, sponsoring the Mr. & Mrs. GHS pageant and purchasing picnic tables for the commons area.

Membership forms will be sent out with the student packets this week. Please support our school by returning your membership form and dues to the High School by Friday, September 11.

"We will be giving away two items: a Nintendo Wii sports edition and an in-dash GPS/ DVD/Radio/CD player, at our final home football game November 6. Tickets are $6 or six for $5."

Officers this year include Peggy Galyean, president (479-640-0536); Stacey Banta, vice-president; Judith Mc-Cratic, secretary; and Mary Helen Smithers, treasurer.
