Maysville News

— My visitors on Monday afternoon were Joy Guentert and granddaughter Amy Braaflodt of Roseville, CA. They had been here for the Tucker reunion and were doing some visiting before leaving on Thursday to go home. The thunderstorm came up while they were here. They said it had been a while since they had been in one of those. It was Amy's first time in Arkansas. She said it was different but she was enjoying her time here.

Maysville will not have polls open for voting in the school board election Sept. 15. There will only be two polls open in Gravette School District, in Gravette and Bella Vista. You can vote absentee and probably some can vote at one of these polls. You can check with the County Clerk's office.

I went to Bentonville Friday morning to have breakfast with Steve and Susan Tucker and Sheldon, then we went to the airport to see him off to goback to Hawaii for college. His Dallas flight was canceled so he was an hour late getting to go to Dallas. I had just come in the door as the phone rang to let me know he had got to Dallas. He got to Hawaii at 2:30 Saturday a.m., our time.We won't see him until Christmas and that's a long time. He was looking forward to going back.

I left an item out last week of another former Maysville couple who came to the Tucker reunion to see some of them. It was Duane and Sylvia Landon of Wichita, KS. They had come for Gravette Day also.

Orpha Wardlaw's visitors, Ruth Petty of Lawton, OK, and Orpha's granddaughter Selena Fincher of Tulsa, OK, both left on Wednesday to return home. She enjoyed them for the time they were there.

The Teal family had their reunion at Maysville Community Building on Saturday. I think it was a birthday celebration. They like to have their get-togethers at Maysville.
