BENTON COUNTY — A hunter education course -
required of all hunters born
after Dec. 31, 1968 - will be
offered at the Hobbs State
Park Conservation Area Visi
tor's Center on Saturday, Aug.
29. The course begins at 8
a.m. and will last until 8 p.m.
(Children under the age of 16
may hunt without the course
as long as they are under the
direct supervision of a li
censed adult, age 21 or older.) Steve Dunlap, Education
Coordinator for the Arkansas
Game and Fish Commission,
will present the class.
There is no minimum age
limit to enroll, but the educa
tional material is based on a
sixth-grade reading level.
Certificates from the
course are recognized in all
states, as well as in Canada
and Mexico.
