Park Fountain Project Receives Big Boost From Council Members

A project to install a drinking fountain in Kindley Memorial Park took a big step forward last week when two members of the City Council made donations to the project. HenryUtechtandHelenOwen are attempting to raise $3,000 to install the first-ever kids drinking fountain in the park. Council members Kurt Maddox, second from left, and Brent Cannon are shown with Junior Hartley, director of public works, left, and Utecht and Owen on the right. The Council members each donated $800. Donations may be made at City Hall.
