Kim Boldt Selected As Library Manager

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

— The Gravette Public Library recently entered a new era with an extensive remodeling of the building and the recent hiring of a new library manager.

Last week Gravette Mayor Bill Howard named Kim Boldt as library manager. She assumed her duties the day before Thanksgiving.

Boldt most recently worked six years for Outdoor Cap Company, a Bentonville firm affiliated with Wal-Mart vendors. She has lived in Gravette several months and is the parent of two sons, Jeff, a junior at GHS, and Parker, a fifth grader.

Ms. Boldt succeeds Kimberley Gibson who resigned several weeks ago after serving as library manager several years.

Boldt said she will continue to be ably assisted by Sherri Hoover and an “almost full-time volunteer”, Betty Adams. MargoThomas recently took a leave-of-absence from her position but is expected to return.

The library will continue its full service to the community and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It is now open during the noon hour. The facility is also open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Thursday evening opening has been canceled.

A walk through the library shows the work from the recent remodeling. All the services, computer availability and other library functions are all available to the public.
