— We have sure had cold, wet weather this week. At least we had sunshine for part of Sunday afternoon. Weather man says a cold blast is coming in for a few days.

Shelly Bishop visited Jack and Sylvia Tucker on Monday of this week and gave Sylvia a permanent so she is fine for awhile.

The E. H. Club had their Christmas party in the home of Bert Ballmann on Thursday. We had a good lunch, a fun game with gifts, then we had a gift exchange. We got ready to return home after wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Thanks to Bert for having us in her home. She had asked two of her daughters-in-law, Karla and Leslie Ballmann, to come and help her so they took care of all of us. It was nice to have waitresses to serve our drinks. Thanks, girls, you did a great job.

Marvin and Bert Ballmann, Eddy and Leslie Ballmann and children Jackie and Cord, Kevin and Diana Graham and Katy Stidham went to Miami, OK, on Friday and spent the night to attend graduation exercises for Wendy Stidhamat Miami College. She is Diana’s daughter. They report a nice graduation and I think she has been on the Dean’s List each semester. Congratulations, Wendy, and best of luck in whatever you do.

Some Maysville E. H. Club members attended the fall council of the county at Church of Christ in Cave Springs on Dec. 4. Those attending were Melinda Crawley and daughter Tabitha, Jewel Crawley, Katherine and Sylvia Tucker. We had three members with perfect attendance this last year. It was an enjoyable meeting with a very good program and lots of good food.

Sammie Sappington of Fayetteville visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, on Friday.

I’m looking forward to this coming weekend because my grandson, Sheldon Tucker, who is attending college in Hawaii, will be home Friday. He is coming home for Christmas. I don’t know how long he will get to stay.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas with families and friends. Have a safe and Happy New Year.
