Seniors Say:

THANK YOU

By Jamie Wolfinbarger

From pre-school to a senior in high school.... wow, time zooms right by! The final semester of my senior year has finally arrive and like all of the seniors I am excited to walk across the stage and accept my diploma for all of the hard work I have put in for thirteen years. However, I have realized there are a few things I need to do in order to prepare myself for the end of this exhausting school life. I am going to strive to excel academically in the classrooms and try to raise my grades from great to excellent. I would also like to spend more time with my friends because I may not get to see them after high school. We will all go our certain way and we can only hope that we will run into our “old” friends in the future.

My senior year has been filled with fun, drama and some tough times that I have grown from. In order to remember these times I will take all of the pictures I can because this is the only way possible to relive the past. I will also spend more time with my family because without them I would not be a senior and as big a success as I as now.....Thanks, family! My family means the most to me and they always will.

Graduation is an event I have always looked forward to but I will admit I am going to miss this little community I have called home since birth. From the support at athletic games, support during fundraisers and so much more the community of Gravette has always been there to support the members of all of the schools. If I ever needed help I could trust anybody in the community to do so and I am so grateful for that. I will advance throughout life knowing Ihad the chance to grow up in such a wonderful, trustworthy and close community. I will never be able to call another town home!

AN ADVENTURE By Brittany Benge

High school has been quite an adventure. Our last semester at Gravette is approaching faster than we could have ever imagined. The class of 2010 has grown together from being annoying freshmen to being seniors who despise the annoying freshmen. I ‘m going to miss lunch time the most. Our table has so much fun! My closest friends sit at the same table every day; we spend the whole time catching up on the day’s events and laugh so hard our stomachs ache! Lunch time is definitely the highlight of my day. Even though we have had such a good time together, graduation is almost here. We are all excited, but equally scared. I will miss everyone and I will certainly miss seeing my friends every day. So here’s to the class of 2010. .

I HAVE CHANGED By Kristyn Saunders

I have changed possible prospective careers many times throughout the last four years. I wanted to be an English teacher in my freshman and sophomore years, a band director in my junior year and just this semester I believed I wanted to be a director. I even started looking into an art institute in Texas to major in digital filmmaking and video production. But then I found the stage with the help of my best friend. Now, my biggest motivation for coming to school everyday is drama. Not the high school “he said, she said” stuff but the performances. Earlier thisyear, I was a part of the fall production of Alice in Wonderland. Now I will be in the spring play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. My resolution for the last semester of my high school career is to do the best I can in the performance of the spring production. Acting has become my passion and I plan to continue with it as my career. As long as I graduate, I’m okay. I just want to act.

MY THOUGHTS By Nathan O.

As we come up on our last semester at Gravette High School it makes me think of all the great things that have happened here and the memories that I will have forever. I will always remember the three high school football seasons that I was a part of and the winning record that we will leave for the future Gravette teams to beat. Going to Colton Moorman’s house and beating the lower classmen at water volleyball after 7 on 7 games was always fun. We would also go to Nick Hendren’s house and play NCAA on Thursdays and Travis would always say, “Well, you can’t win them all, boys,” whether he won or lost. Although school is not the funniest place at times the people that you go to school with can make it fun. Praking Suktavee and counting how many times Miss Webb said ummmm in class always made school a little more fun. I hope I remember all the profound things that Kit has said over the ears in school. I know going to school in Gravette has been an awesome experience and has prepared me for the years ahead of me. I hope to come back after I have graduated and see all my old friends again and watch the next Gravette Lion football team beat Gentry once more.

IT’S HECTIC By Jessica Springer

Next semester is going to be hectic for me. I’m going to be taking Ap Government, College English, trig, First Responder, a computer class (I forget which one exactly), Ap Chemistry, and CNA. I’m also going to be competing in HOSA state competition. Then there’s graduation and prom and college to think about. So my schedule is going to be booked.

I RESOLVE

By Mackenzie Wallace

My resolution for the rest of my senior year is to keep my grades up in MY GOALS By Nick Hendren

With only one semester of high school remaining I have a few goals that I want to attain. These include finishing high school with good grades, getting all of my scholarships settled and enjoying time with friends and family while I still can.

MY WISH

by Makayla Morrison

I wish to graduate high school as an honor graduate. I then plan on attending college and becoming a critical care flight nurse.

PLANS By Chris Cowgur

Nothing is written in stone. My plans are always changing, evolving, always in motion. Perhaps I was born in the wrong century. I long for a more simple era. In today’s world where everything is getting more advanced, more complicated, today’s youth lack morals, restraint and are constantly seeking the newcalculus and Comp 1 and 2. I would also like to apply for and receive more scholarships from various colleges so I might have a choice of where I want to go to school. My biggest resolution is probably procrastination. It’s not a good attribute in college English, trust me.

LOOKING FORWARD By David O’Brien

As the end of my high school experience ravels up and as the end of such a joyous time in my life leads me to another I would love to finish basketball with a winning record. I would also enjoy making the next four months less stressful gadget. One can’t help but wonder what history will say of our civilization. Ours is a generation lost, spinning out of control. Always there is someone trying to change the world, yet the more things change the more they stay the same. I don’t want to change the world, just the minds of those who inhabit it.

DO YOUR BEST By Kaitlyn Albright

The town of Gravette is fairly small in comparison to others that surround it, but the close-knit social community is beyond anything I have ever come across thus far. In this school the student masses range from the very rich to the very poor, the excellent mannered to the filthy mouthed and the exceptionally talented to the average passing grade. But it is how the people interact that is so fascinating. I have seen cheerleaders who are great friends to band kids. I have witnessed teachers and students talk about teaming up on videoand more relaxed. High school has been an awesome experience here at GHS and it has prepared me for college (which I look forward to with massive anticipation). Yet I wish for new friends, more memories and more wins in basketball.

“SENIORITIS” By Colton Moorman

As the last year of high school comes to a close, most seniors contract “senioritis”., It’s a very contagious condition with bad grades being a side effect. It’s very important to finish high school strong and that is my main goal for the remainder of the year.

games after school. You go to Sonic and people will wave at you because they remembered your face enough to know that you go to the same school. As you get older and progress to those possible last years of your public education, you may notice things that you didn’t before. You might look back and see that you were always stressed out over the stupidest things. You might find that what you have done so far is the bare minimum or was extremely boring.

Three rules to follow to help you live your life with no regrets are as follows: 1) Do your best. If everything you do, you do your best you will find that there is something you excel at. 2) Have fun. If you enjoy yourself (dances, plays, concerts, contests, tournaments, games, etc.) then you will remember all the good times you’ve had and you’ll be glad for it. 3) Don’t stress. Relax. If you want your hair to turn gray prematurely and get stomach ulcers then be m y guest. Point is, Gravette is a town to be proud of.
