Highfill Memorial Recognition

The board of directors of the Community Library Association of Highfill met July 20 with Highfill parks commissioner Sandy Evans to discuss a way to establish some memorial recognition in the park to honor the Webb Family, Doris Carter and Clara Blankenship. Since the original goal of the organization cannot be achieved at this time, the board of directors is wanting to add the organization's funds to the park memorial bench program and also give funds to aid in the construction of the new park pavilion. The association would welcome help, advice or input from anyone who would like to join them in their efforts to do something worthwhile for the community. Contact Karen Digby for more information.
