GRAVETTE — Dear Editor,
Gravette American Legion Post 24 will be posting the “Avenue of Flags” in Hillcrest Cemetery on Veterans Day.
The flags will be raised Wednesday, November 11, at 8 a.m. Flags will be lowered the same day at 5 p.m. The public is invited and help is appreciated.
This is the last posting of the colors for the year. The post thanks all who have helped this year. Thenext posting of colors will be May 2010 for Memorial Day services.
If anyone ever wishes to donate to this patriotic cause they may do so by stopping by the Bank of Gravett and making a deposit in the Legion Post account. There is always a need to replace tattered flags, old flagpoles and do upkeep.
