Revival set for Baptist Church

— The Decatur First Baptist Church will be holding revival meetings with guest evangelist Pastor Mitch Jackson Nov. 7 through 11.

Jackson is the senior pastor at Miner Baptist Church in Sikeston, Mo. He is a past president of the Missouri Baptist Convention and currently serves as the second vice president. Jackson has led his church in mission work in India, Romania, Mexico, El Salvador and around the United States.

Special music will be led each night by Pastor Rodney Davis.

The meetings will kick-off with an indoor Olympic Heptathlon from 3 to 8 p.m., Nov. 7. Youth in grades 7 through 12 are invited to compete in seven different events, and prizes will be awarded to winners. The event will also include snacks, a pizza supper and a concert. Jackson will serve as special guest speaker.

The schedule includes Bible study at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 10:50 a.m., followed by a revival service at 6 p.m., on Sunday Nov. 8. Revival services will also be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 9, 10 and 11. On Nov. 11 there will be a family fellowship meal at 6 p.m.
