Turner enlists in National Guard

— Private Payton Turner of Gentry recently enlisted in the Arkansas Army National Guard.

He has earned education benefits, including Federal Tuition Assistance and the Montgomery G.I. Bill, valued at $49,844.

He will attend basic training, followed by advanced individual training as an Artillery Mechanic at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.

Upon returning to Arkansas, Turner will serve with the 937th Forward Support Company at Ft. Chaffee.
