Hadley Thanks All Who Made Grandparent’s Day A Huge Success

— Grandparents Day was observed recently at the Gravette schools and several grandparents gathered at the Upper Elementary School to enjoy breakfast with their grandchildren.

This is the second year the Parent-Teacher Organization has sponsored the activity.

“The kids always love having their grandparentsat school giving them some extra attention and, as you can imagine, the grandparents love to be there,” said Dorothy Hadley, Parent Involvement Coordinator.

“Ahugethankyoutoallwho participatedincludingthePTO, thestudents,thegrandparents and especially the wonderful workers at the Upper Elementarycafeteria,”Hadleyadded.

B.V. Food Drive Will Aid Families Of Area Children

BellaVistaPropertyOwners Association is holding a food drive through November 12 and baskets will be delivered the week of Thanksgiving to families of eight students in GravetteandCooperElementary Schools.

Drop-off sites have been established at the Bella Vista Country Club, Branchwood Recreation Center and Riordan Hall.

Requested nonperishable, canned and dry items include canned creamed corn; canned sweet corn; canned peas; canned green beans; canned mixed vegetables;canned cranberries; canned pureed pumpkin; canned pie filling, including cherry, peach and apple; canned fruit; marshmallows; pie crusts; flour; sugar; coffee; stuffing or cornbread mix; canned gravy or a packaged mix; and napkins.

Cash donations for fresh produce will be accepted at the Weekly Vista office, 313 Town Center, and fresh produce will be purchased priortothedeliveryofbaskets. Checks should be made payable to BellaVistaVillage POA. ForinformationcontactSylvia Camacho-Green, 855-5019.
