OAS packs Christmas shoeboxes

— Ozark Adventist School in Gentry celebrated its fall festival Thursday, Oct. 29, by packing 100 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse.

Shoeboxes were collected and wrapped in Christmas paper.

Students included a Christmas card with a photo of themselves in their boxes. Children received items as prizes at each game booth to pack in their box.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church members, the families of OAS, and dentists of the community donated items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, toys, gloves, hats, beach balls, crayons and coloring books to be included in the boxes.

Finally, each student prayed with a chaplain for the child who will receive the box to be blessed this season and come to know Jesus as his or her Savior.

The students have met their goal of 100 boxes.
