Senior Center Report

— Several fundraisers are in progress to benefit the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center. The first one is the “You CAN Make a Difference” fundraiser. The Center is still collectingnonperishablefood for the grocery basket to be raffled at the Senior Center. A lucky person will receive the contents of the basket when the drawing is held onThursday, November 19, during the lunch hour at the Center.

The second fundraiser is the beautiful hand-crocheted “Lion Afghan” made and donated by Sue Rice. Look for Seniors selling chances at area banks. The afghan will be available for viewing as well. Drawing for the afghan will be Friday, November 20, during the lunch hour at the Center. Tickets for both fundraisers are $1 donation or six for $5.

Upcoming fundraisers are Schwan’s and Hot Roll sales. Schwan’s will have a truckload fundraiser to benefit the Senior Center at the Teasley Drug store parking lot from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 20.

The Center will again be selling hot rolls at $5 a dozen for Thanksgiving. Orders can be placed beginning November 10 thru noon on Tuesday, November 24, by calling 787-5950 Monday thru Friday during normal working hours. Deliveryis available to businesses within the city limits of Gravette.

MENU November 16 - 20 Lunch

Monday: Liver & onions, mashed potatoes, seasoned spinach, dinner roll, oatmeal raisin cookie.

Tuesday: Herb baked chicken, scalloped potatoes, seasoned green peas, wheat bread, emerald pears.

Wednesday: Pork chop supreme, fluffy white rice, Mediterranean vegetables, dinner roll, mandarin orange slices.

Thursday: Roast turkey w/gravy, cornbread dressing, sweet potatoes, green beans, dinner roll, pumpkin cake.

Friday: Fried catfish, oven French fries, red & green coleslaw, hushpuppies, fruit cup.

Seven Story Hotel Topping Is Held

A topping out ceremony was held recently at the new seven-story hotel being built by Cherokee Casino in West Siloam Springs.

The event marked installing the final steel beam and placing an evergreen tree at the top of the structure.

Revival Set At Mt. Zion Church

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church announces revival services will be held starting Sunday, November 15, and continuing through Wednesday, Nov. 18. Services are at 7 p.m. each evening.

Bro. Dan Fagala will be evangelist and John Curtis will lead special singing.

Everyone is invited, said Steve Curry, pastor. The church is located at Mt. Olive and St. Line Roads, northwest of Sulphur Springs.
