— Michael Gibson

Michael Eugene Gibson, 58, of Gravette, died Friday, November 13, 2009, in Gravette. He was born May 20, 1951, in Neosho, MO, the son of Elton and Pauline Vance Gibson.

Mr. Gibson moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1997 where he served as minister for the First Christian Church. Prior to his move he served as youth minister at First Christian Church in Joplin and South Joplin Christian Church and was minister of Oakland Christian Church in Joplin. He was past president of the Gravette Chamber of Commerce and was a member of Gravette Lions Club.

He married Beverly Hill August 14, 1971, in Neosho. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Eric Gibson and wife Beth and Christopher Gibson and wife Kimberley, all of Gravette; one brother, Greg Gibson and wife Pam of Neosho; four grandchildren, Kyler, Sabrina, Savannah, Alexandria and Nicholas Gibson; his mother-inlaw, Mae Hill of Lanagan; aunts and uncle.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. at First Christian Church in Gravette with Dan Fagala officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery under direction of Clark Funeral Home of Neosho.

Gary Hutcheson

Gary Wayne “Hutch” Hutcheson, 60, of Bentonville, died November 9, 2009, in Springfield, MO. He was born September 4, 1949, in Centerton.

He grew up in Sulphur Springs and graduated from Gravette High School where he met and married his wife of 41 years, Paula Jo Keith. He served in the U. S. Navy. He attended the University of Arkansas and earned a BA degree in education.

He began his coaching career in Bentonville in 1976. He coached girls basketball, softball, track and football and later earned his Masters Degree in administration. A former vice principal at Walton Junior High, he was facilities director for the Tiger athletic complex. He was a deacon and Missions Director at Bentonville Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Fountain, and stepfather, Bill Fountain.

Survivors include his wife, Paula; two daughters, Sherry Stalls and husband Brent of Bentonville and Christy Hutcheson of Bella Vista; one grandson, Raef Stalls; two brothers, Arnie Hutcheson of Sulphur Springs and Everette Fountain of Holiday Island.

Funeral services were held November 12 at Bentonville Church of Christ with Walton Hook and John Dyes officiating. Burial with military honors was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under direction of Stockdale Funeral Service.
