Holiness Bible School Plans Gravetteopoly Fund Raiser Project

— The Holiness Bible School in Gravette announces a new fundraising project: Creation of a board game, “Gravetteopoloy”, which will be “all about our town,” said April McCall, a Bible School spokesperson.

The game will feature squares which will be available for local businesses, churches, industries, etc., which have a permanent place “and they will be seen every time the game is played.”

“There are a limited number of spaces and deadline to reserve one is January 1,” it was stressed.

The school is also conducting a contest for the design on the game board as well as its box top. “The design can be a drawing or photo, unique to Gravette. There is no entry fee and the winner will be awardeda prize.

The project is being coordinated through Pride Distributors, Inc., a Farmington Hills, MI, firm.

“Help us make this game unique and meaningful to our community,” McCall said. All proceeds from the project will benefit the school which has been a part of Gravette for more than 75 years.

Girl Scout Troop Continues Food Collection Drive

Gravette Girl Scout Troop 5497 is sponsoring a Thanksgiving food collection drive to supply the Care and Share Thanksgiving food boxes with canned foods.

The remainder of the food will be donated to the Feed My Sheep Food Pantry in Gravette.

Scout leaders Meredith Bramel and Nancy Jones said, “We will appreciate any canned or boxed nonperishable food items.”

Drop boxes will be located at the First Christian Church and at the Gravette Medical Clinic from now until November 20.

The Girl Scouts will also set up a collection point at Martin’s on Saturday, November 21, from 9 a.m. until noon to collect donations.

JGT Club Meeting Will Be Held This Thursday At Senior Center

This month’s meeting of the Jolly Good Times Club will be held tomorrow, Thursday, November 19, at the Senior Activity Center. The meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. in the computer room. Mary Griffin will give the program.

The meeting was changed from its usual Wednesday date so members might share in the Center’s annual Thanksgiving dinner. New members and guests are welcome and invited to attend the meeting and holiday meal.

Invitation Is Extended To First Baptist Church Thanksgiving Dinner This Sunday Evening

First Baptist Church in Gravette will offer a free Thanksgiving dinner for the public Sunday evening, November 22, at the churchfellowship hall.

“Come and share God’s bounty,” a church spokesperson said for this third annual event.
