Senior Center Report

— Just a reminder, we will be closed this Thursday and Friday to give our employees and volunteers time off to spend with their families in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Gravette Lions afghan fundraiser, the Schwan’s one day event fundraiser and the hot roll fundraiser. These fundraisers were a success, thanks to you.

There is still time to donate to our “You CAN Make a Difference” fundraiser.Donations of nonperishable food can be dropped off at the Senior Center located at 1870 Limekiln Road, Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Items will be placed in a grocery basket and raffled off. Raffle tickets are available for a $1 donation or six for $5. This fundraiser has been extended until Friday, December 18. The drawing will be at noon that day at the Senior Center.

SENIOR CENTER MENU

Week of Nov. 30 - Dec. 4 Lunch

Monday: BBQ chicken, potato salad, baked beans, marble cake.

Tuesday: Ham & pinto beans, fried okra, cornbread, mandarin orange slices.

Wednesday: Chicken & dumplings, green beans, hot spiced peaches, dinner roll, sugar cookie.

Thursday: Smothered pork chop, mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, dinner roll, cinnamon pears.

Friday: Beef stew, garden salad, dinner roll, fruit cup, chocolate cake.

Meals are subject to change. Meals at Center served with choice of 2% milk, buttermilk, coffee, tea or orange juice. Diabetic desserts are available.
