Chick-fil-A Dinner Will Benefit Senior Center

— Please join the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center, their families and friends at Chick-fil-A of Bentonville, 209 S. Walton Blvd., for a Spirit Night on Wednesday, October 14, from 4 p.m.

to 8 p.m. For each of youwho dine at Chick-fil-A on the 14th, Chick-fil-A will return a portion of the total money spent during Spirit Night to the Senior Activity Center and they will use the funds for the Meals on Wheels Program.

Georgia Flat Cemetery Association To Meet

The Georgia Flat Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting Sunday, October 10, at 2 p.m.

at the Georgia Cemetery.

Volunteers are needed for the 2010 mowing schedule.

The Georgia Cemetery was originally established as the Mt. EnterpriseChurch and Cemetery in 1868 in an area known as Georgia Flat.

Anyone interested in the history and maintenance of this old cemetery is welcome to attend. For more information call Nancy Feroe, 787-5240, or Laqueda Roquemore, 787-6944.

Cemetery Asks Help With Flower Clean-Up

Stewards of Bethel Cemetery are requesting that discarded flowers not be dumped in the northwest corner of the cemetery as they have been in the past.

Betty Russow, speaking for the Stewards, who have responsibility for the upkeep of the cemetery, said, “We ask people to please take their flowers home to dispose of them.

“We also ask that persons remove flowers from new graves within two weeks as this will help us keep the cemetery looking beautiful.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated,” she added. A dumpster will be provided twice a year.

Beacon Church Tells Plans For Revival

Beacon Missionary Baptist Church in Gravette announces revival services will be held starting Sunday, October 11, and continuing through Wednesday evening.

Evangelist Brandon Cox,pastor of Bethel Baptist in Bentonville, will be guest speaker.

Service times are 11 a.m.

and 6 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday evenings. Everyone is invited to attend the services.
