— Elijah Daniel Bennett

Elijah Daniel Bennett, 4, of Westville, Okla., died Oct. 4, 2009, in Siloam Springs, Ark.

He was born Feb. 7, 2005, in Siloam Springs, to Toney and Julia Hill Bennett. He attended school in Westville and enjoyed playing computer games and story time.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother of the home; a sister, Morgan Hill of the home; a brother, Alexander Hill of the home; maternal grandparents, Bob and Rita Hill of Westville; and paternal grandparents, Russell and Kathy Canoe of Leach, Okla.

Funeral services were held Oct. 9, 2009, at Roberts Funeral Chapel with John Keys officiating. Burial was at Westville City Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Toney Gerald Bennett

Toney Gerald Bennett, 28, of Westville, Okla., died Oct. 4, 2009, in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

He was born Aug. 30, 1981, in Jay, Okla., to Russell and Kathy Bennett Canoe. He worked at Wal-Mart in Grove, Okla., and attended First Baptist Church of Colcord, Okla.

His son, Elijah Bennett, died shortly after his father. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ellen Canoe;

and his grandfather, Chester Swake.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Bennett of the home; a daughter, Morgan Hill of the home; a son, Alexander Hill of the home; his parents of Leach, Okla.; three brothers, Benjamin, Joseph Canoe, both of Colcord, and Diego Sanders of Kansas, Okla.; and grandparents Eura Canoe and Daniel Canoe.

Funeral services were held Oct. 9, 2009, at Roberts Funeral Chapel with John Keys officiating. Burial was at Westville City Cemetery.

Roberts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Blanche Suzanne Brown

Blanche Suzanne Brown, 71, of Kansas, Okla., died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs, Ark.

She was born March 4, 1938, in Littlefield, Texas. She attended Southern Methodist University and completed a degree in teaching at Northeast State University in Tahlequah, Okla. She married Howard Brown on Aug. 2, 2002. She was a member of the National Education Association Teachers Union and the First Baptist Church in Kansas, Okla.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Brown; five sons and three daughters-in-law, George Allen and Annessa Allen of Kansas, Okla., Perry Prather of Los Angeles, Calif., Randy Brown and Susan Brown, and Zachary Brown, all of Joplin, Mo., and Derrick Brown and Summer Brown of Seneca, Mo.;

two daughters and sons-in-law, Sally B. Haggard and Jason Haggard of rural Colcord, Okla., and Amanda Rich and Brad Rich of Joplin; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Oct. 13 at the First Baptist Church in Kansas, Okla., with Dr. Larry Combs officiating. Burial followed at the Kansas Cemetery in Kansas, Okla.

Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark.

Charlotte Ann Brown

“Char” Charlotte Ann Brown, 69, of Gentry, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs, Ark.

She was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Portland, Ore., to Frank Smith and Edna Smith. She moved to Gentry from Prescott Valley, Ariz., where she had been a legal secretary for the public defender. She was a member of the Seventhday Adventist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Brown; a son, Frank Henry of Siloam Springs, Ark.; a daughter, Lisa M.

Corey of Siloam Springs; a brother, Charles Smith of Washington; a sister, Judy Hall of British Columbia, Canada; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Oct. 15 at the Gum Springs Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Juanita Gregorin

Juanita Gregorin, 88, of Cincinnati, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at her home.

She was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Anderson, S.C., to Charlie Carter Leaird and Rilla Bray Leaird. She married Frank Gregorin, Jr., on Dec. 28, 1943, in Athens, Ga. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for Gregorin’s Appliance Store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs, Ark., the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the B.Y.K.O.T.A. Sunday school class, and sang in the Senior Joy Choir. She was a published writer.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Schwieder and Fred Schwieder of Summers, Ark., and Debbie Jensen and Randy Jensen of Gentry, Ark.; two sons and daughters-in-law, David Gregorin and Margaret Gregorin of Fayetteville, N.C., and Dennis Gregorin and Beverly Gregorin of Little Falls, N.Y.; a sister, Anne Pruitt of Siloam Springs, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were Oct. 9 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel with Dr. Steve Abbott officiating. Burial was at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Arrangements were by Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark.
