GENTRY — Addie Bluebell Adams

Addie Bluebell Adams, 83, of Gentry, Ark., died Oct. 19, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark.

She was born March 27, 1926, in Binger, Okla., to John Everett Payton and Lavinia Howe Payton. She lived in the community for the past 53 years and retired from Allen Canning Company after working for 30 years. She married Ray Adams in Hereford, Texas, on Sept. 17, 1945.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; daughter Raye Deen Boyle and husband George of Noel, Mo.; daughter Linda Johnson and husband Dean of Gentry; son Gerald Adams and wife Patricia of Westville, Okla.; daughter Annette Selent and husband Kurt of Gentry; and son Mark Adams of Gentry; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Jim Whisenant officiating. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery in Gentry.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Winnie Bramlett

Winnie Bramlett, 90, of Gentry, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009.

She was born March 24, 1919, in Frankell, Texas, to Joe Wilson and Mary Davidson Wilson. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerton, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Lewis Bramlett; and a son, Rusty Bramlett.

Survivors include two daughters, Xantha Platt of Gentry and Linda Darst of Rogers, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Oct. 19 at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.

Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville, Ark.

Carl Lynch Butler

Carl Lynch Butler, 90, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at his home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Gentry, Ark., to Ernst Watts Butler and Fannie Mae Walker Butler. He lived most of his life in the Gentry and Siloam Springs area, where he sold Fords and farmed. He worked for Crain Motor Co. in Siloam Springs and for Randall Sanders Ford in Rogers, Ark. He was a member of Gentry Lodge No. 222 F&AM and the Knights Templar and the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Springdale, Ark. He enjoyed sports and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Butler, in May 2001; six sisters; and an infant brother.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford Butler and Mariguinn Butler of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and Lynch Butlerand Kathy Butler of Siloam Springs; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Oct. 14 at the Wasson Memorial Chapel with Brother Todd Anderson and Brother Jim Henderson officiating. Burial was at the Fairmount Cemetery near Siloam Springs.

Memorials may be made to the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Mexico Missions, P.O. Box 1115, Springdale, AR 72764.

Dorothy Holland

Dorothy Holland, 87, of Bentonville, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, in Bentonville.

She was born April 21, 1922, in Crowell, Texas, to James Hendrix and Dilla Cawthon Hendrix. She was a member of the Highfill Methodist Church in Highfill, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel E. Holland.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Darla Boster and Larry Boster of Bentonville; two brothers, James Hendrix of Highfill, Ark., and Jay Lee Hendrix of Siloam Springs, Ark.; a sister, Maxine Marler of Rogers, Ark.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Oct. 20 at the Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Ark.

Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.

Judy Elaine Myers

Judy Elaine Myers, 61, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale, Ark.

She was born Aug. 3, 1948, in Reed City, Mich., to Clyde Bennett and Betty Bennett. She married Rolland Wayne Myers on July 31, 1965, in Evart, Mich. She retired from Peterson Farms after 29 years. She enjoyed being a full-time grandmother.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryant McReynolds.

Survivors Include her husband of 44 years; a son and daughter-in-law, Roddy Myers and Teresa Myers of Siloam Springs; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dawn Boren and Michael Boren of Gravette, Ark., Shelly Sikes and Dusty Sikes of Gentry, Ark., and Kim McReynolds of the home; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Oct. 14 at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Cypert and Keith Harper officating. Burial was at the Allen Cemetery in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an account set up at Decatur State Bank in Decatur, Ark.

Nina Dean Patton

Nina Dean Patton, 84, of Bentonville, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville.

She was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Osage, Ark .,to Charles A. Ferguson and Mary Shackelford Ferguson. She married Euel S. Patton on May 20, 1949. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville, where she worked with the Dorcus Women’s Sewing Ministry, making baby quilts for the needy. She was a member and vice president of the Merry Matrons Extension Homemakers Club and a clothing superintendent at the Benton County Fair. She served as clothing project leader for the Centerton 4-H Club.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years; two sons and daughters-in-law, James M. Patton and Brenda Patton of Bentonville and Vernon Patton and Darlene Patton of Ozark, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice Shofner and Bob Shofner of Centerton, Ark.; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles Ross Ferguson and Kathy Ferguson of Blackwell, Mo.; four sisters and three brothersin-law, Leah Ferguson of Bentonville, Marie Fulkerson and Harold Fulkerson of Gentry, Ark., Minnie Lou Easley and Jackie Easley of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Nellie Travis and Claude Travis of Chiniak, Alaska; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Oct. 16 at the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville with the Rex Dickey, Ben Hines and Susan Ledbetter officiating. Burial was at the Bentonville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nina Dean Patton Memorial 4-H Scholarship Fund, in care of the Benton County 4-H Foundation, 1204 S.W. 14th St., Bentonville, AR 72712.

Arlan “Bud” Eugene Sweet

Arlan “Bud” Eugene Sweet, 73, of Colcord, Okla., died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Westville, Okla., to Louie Sweet and Lodema Maggard Sweet. He married Joyce Brown in Stilwell, Okla. He worked at Franklin Electric as a laborer.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Fishinghawk.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; a son, Calvin Sweet of Bentonville, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Earp and Jarrod Earp of Colcord; two sisters, Shirley Carlton of Westville, Okla., and Aileen Lockard of Mountainburg, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were Oct. 20 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. with Larry Ellis officiating. Burial followed at Westville Cemetery, Westville, Okla.
