— Farmer’s Market Will Be Open This Saturday

Gravette Farmers’ Market in Old Town Park will be open this Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., according to Allyson Ransom, director.

Southwest City Legion Announces Dinner

Southwest City American Legion Post will hold a smoked chicken dinner Friday, October 23, with serving from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the Legion hut.

The dinner will include baked beans, chips and dessert for a $5 donation which will be used for community projects. S. W. City Processing is smoking the chickens.

Carryouts will be available.

Berryville Festival

A day-long bluegrass music festival is scheduled in Berryville this Saturday, October 24, at the Berryville Community Center, starting at 10:15 a.m. A full-day ticket costs $10 for ten hours of bluegrass music by well-known performers.

The same day a gun and knife show will be held at the Carroll County Fairgrounds.

The Federal Citizen Information Center in Pueblo, CO, announced their fall 2009 Consumer Information Catalog is now available.

The free publication can be secured by calling toll-free 1-888-878-3256, weekdays during normal business hours.

Students Expelled For Bomb Threat

Two Gentry middle school students have been expelled for the remainder of this school year because of their alleged role in a 911 call reporting a bomb at Gentry Middle School.

The action was taken by the school board in a special meeting.
