GRAVETTE — We got that frost Saturday night. I’m thinking it finished my lawn mowing and I hope it did.

Wilford Englert of Grove, OK, visited his cousin, Jewel Lukens, Thursday afternoon. I’m sure they had a good visit.

Clifton and Judy Tucker of Owasso, OK, visited me a while Saturday morning. It was a short visit but it’s better than none. They had other stops at Bella Vista to visit Nichole and Nick and Ty. They were going to watch the Razorback game there, then go on to Bentonville and Springdale to see grandchildren. I think they were going to stay at Springdale until Sunday morning, then go home. It’s quite a trip when they are limited on time.They like it fine at Owasso. This was their anniversary weekend. It was October 17.

The E. H. Club fundraiser was Saturday night. The crowd was small but everyone was enjoying the evening. We know there are always conflicts to keep some from attending. We want to thank everyone who came and the supporters. We try to have a fundraiser each year in October. There were several saying we need to continue it because they get to visit people they don’t get tovisit with otherwise.

My grandson, Sheldon Tucker, called me from Hawaii Thursday evening. It was good to visit with him. He said this semester at school was going real well. He is looking forward to December 20 when he gets Christmas break and can come home.

Katie Martin, Tyler and Katlynn visited me Thursday evening. I’m always glad for any of them to come by. I look forward to it. Katlynn was having a birthday on Friday, the 16th, so I told her to come and get hr card.

Maysville E. H. members, remember this Thursday is club day at the community building. Bert Ballmann will be hostess for the lunch. She also has the lesson and cultural art. See you all there.

We had a problem at the community building with the furnace. There was a gas leak. I’m not sure just what they did but anyway it got fixed before our fundraiser. Joneva (Lovell) Beckman and family live near St. Louis. They have been visiting relatives Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
