Joshua Lockhart’s 4-H Project Aids School

— Joshua Lockhart, an eighth grader at Gravette Middle School, is shown presenting supplemental learning materials for use in Glenn Duffy Elementary, Gravette Middle School and Gravette Upper Elementary.

Accepting the materials, from the left, are Faith Hendricks, Mike Walker and Dorothy Hadley, Parent Involvement Coordinators for their respective schools.

The materials will be used in each school library to help students further expand their reading and knowledge levels.

Lockhart secured the books from Children’s Publishing, a division ofMcGraw Hill, as a community service for 4-H and in observance of National 4-H Month, which is this October.

The School Specialty materials provide innovative and proprietary projects, programs and services to help educators engage and inspire students of all ages and abilities with latest curriculum, supplementary learning resources and classroom basics to help ensure every student reaches his/her full potential.

Lockhart’s main 4-H project for 2009 is “Encouraging Individual Development.” He is a member of the Town & Country 4-H Club.
