GRAVETTE — Sulphur Springs Chamber of Commerce will sponsor “Halloween in the Park” for kids and other events Saturday, October 31. Activities will start at 5 p.m.

“Parents are urged to bring their children to the park to trick-or-treat,” a spokesperson for the Chamber said, and added, “Citizens are asked to bring their goodies to the park to hand out.”

A chili supper with fixings and drinks sponsored by the Special Events Committee will also be held with serving from 5to 8 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for kids and seniors.

Persons are also asked to bring canned goods or any nonperishable food items in exchange for dessert. “All proceeds from the supper and all canned goods will help with Thanksgiving baskets to be distributed during November.”

The Chamber hopes all citizens will plan for an evening of kids on Halloween and food for all participants in this community-wide project.
