— We are sure having good August weather, rain and cooler temperatures. We should not complain about that.

In the school board voting coming up Sept. 15 there will be only two polls open for the Gravette District. They are Gravette and Bella Vista. Those from other polling places can vote absentee or at one of the two places. There may be more about it in the paper later.

Marvin and Lesa Hughes visited Jewel Lukens one afternoon this week. They took a quilt top for her to quilt for them. Jewel loves to quilt.

Stacy Hunt of Fayetteville visited her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, on Wednesday of this week.

Jack and Sylvia Tucker and I went to Vanzant Produce on Saturday morning and got some peaches.That is the end of the peaches for this year. We also got Jonathan apples and Concord grapes. Sylvia and I purchased ourselves some work to do.

Patti King of Lowell visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, Sunday. Then she went and visited other friends and family before going home.

Ten E.H. Club members and one visitor went out to tour the Massey Hotel Museum in Bentonville, then to World Garden on South Walton to eat. August is the month we don't have a regular club meeting. It's club choice month. We go out to eat and each pay for our own meal.The visitor was Barbara West from west of Yeargin. We were glad to have her go as a guest.
