Junior high Pioneers get past the Bulldogs

— GENTRY - GentryJunior High had its first football game Tuesday and beat Decatur 26-14.

The Pioneers got on the board first with a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown by Clay Norman. Tucker Willett ran in the two-point conversion.

In the second quarter, Colby Bryant caught a 13-yard touchdown pass. Again, in the third quarter, Tucker Willett scored on a 32-yard run. Bryant found the endzone once again and scored on a 36-yard run.

"I thought we executed well on offense," said Gentry coach Marty Edmiston. "Decatur did a good job keeping the ball out of our hands. They have some big kids who fought hard to the end."
