GRAVETTE — Snack cake baker McKee Foods Corp. is closing a bakery in Chattanooga and shifting the work to plants at Collegedale, TN, and Gentry, AR.

McKee makes Little Debbie doughnuts at the plant, which employs about 30 workers.

Company spokesman Mike Gloekler told the Chattanooga Times Free Press the plant employees were offered jobs at Collegedale. The Chattanooga plant was down to one line working one shift.
