FFA Boosters Plan Meeting Next Tuesday At School

— All persons interested in forming 2010 Future Farmers of America Boosters are invited to attend a planning meeting, Tuesday, September 22, at 6:30 p.m. at the GHS agri department.

This group will support FFA activities and scholarship opportunities for FFA members and all alumni, parents are friends are being encouraged to attend.

Pee Wee Basketball Sign Up Is Saturday

Pee Wee basketball signups will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Junior High Gymnasium.

This is for girls and boys in grades four, five and six.

The fee is $35.

Rogers Theater Schedules Upcoming Production

Rogers Little Theater opens its 24th season with "Over the River and Through the Woods" at the Victory Theater, 116 S. Second St., in downtown Rogers. Performances are scheduled for Sept. 18-20 and 24-27.

Director Brenda Nemec said showtime is 8 p.m.

Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Tickets for dinner and show are $42 per person.

Dinner, catered by Pfeffer's, is served one hour prior to curtain. Show-only seats in the balcony are priced at $17 for adults and $9.50 for children, 12 and under, and all students are valid IDs.

Pea Ridge School Is Locked Down

The Pea Ridge schools were in a lockdown mode for several hours Thursday, September 3, after a texted threat to a student was reported.

The message from one teenagegirltoanotherwasapparently the outgrowth of an altercation between the girls.

The mother of the message recipient reported it to police.

A 14-year-old was arrested for terroristic threatening.
