GRAVETTE — Jan and Clayton Thurman of Derby, KS, hosted a Labor Day Celebration at their future home on Fifth Street in Gravette.

Steve, Jill, Lauren and Ava Mitchael; Jay, Jennifer and Jayni Mitchael and UncleLarry Mitchael. "Even the Thurmans' dogs Buddy and Oliver got to enjoy the cookout as a few scraps found their way to the floor," said Steve Mitchael, who supplied this story and photo.
The group had grilled steaks, salad, baked potatoes, cucumbers and tomatoes from the garden and bananacake dessert. The event was held in a new garage building, future home of C & J's Custom Woodworking.The event was held to thank family members for their assistance in constructing the garage.
"The weather was perfect and allowed catching up on one another's lives,"Mitchael said.
