GRAVETTE — In recognition of National Senior Center Month, the Center will be having a different guest speaker each Wednesday at 11 a.m. Mayor Bill Howard will be guest speaker September 16. Attorney Dan Yates will be speaking September 23. Everyone is invited to attend.
Look for our booth at the Gravette Farmers Market each week. Senior Center volunteers will be selling assorted cookies by the dozen for $6 and half dozen for $3. All proceeds benefit the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center.
Schwan's will be hosting a One Day Truckload Fundraiser event to benefit the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center Friday, October 2, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Teasley Drug. Orders may be placed online as well by going to www.schwansfundraising.com and entering the fundraiser I.D. #24018. All online orders count toward the fundraiser. You can even purchase gift certificates online. Online orders will be filled and awaiting pickup on the day of the fundraiser at Teasley Drug store parking lot. Be sure to stock up on all your favorite items. The Center's profit is based on the total dollar amount of items soldthe day of the event.

MENU Week of Sept. 21 - 25 Lunch
Monday: Herb baked chicken, hot potato salad, spinach, dinner roll, peanut butter cookie.
Tuesday: Meatloaf w/ tomato sauce, mashed potatoes, fried okra, wheat bread, emerald pears.
Wednesday: Baked ham, macaroni & cheese, California vegetables, red & green coleslaw, dinner roll, apricots.
Thursday: Crispy baked chicken, candied sweet potatoes, seasoned green beans, dinner roll, fruit cocktail.
Friday: Beef pot roast, roast vegetables, Waldorf salad, dinner roll, chocolate chip cookie.
Menus are subject to change. Meals at Center served with choice of 2% milk, buttermilk, coffee, tea or orange juice. Diabetic desserts are available.
