Gravette Schools Participate In Statewide "Together We Read" Program

— On Friday, September 11, the Gravette Upper Elementary participated in Arkansas First Lady Ginger Beebe's statewide program "Together We Read".

More than forty volunteers brought their favorite books to share with the students. The goal was to have at least one volunteer in each classroom. That goal was accomplished with several classrooms having more than one volunteer.

Arkansas' First Lady wanted this day to spotlight the importance of literacy and the need for adult involvement in schools. "Together We Read" brought police officers, ambulance drivers, principals, parents, cheerleaders, friends and Dr. Kelly (our school superintendent) into our classrooms.

The staff and students at the Gravette Upper Elementary would like to thank everyone for their participation.
