GENTRY — Gentry City Council
The Gentry City Council holds regular meetings in the city court room at 6:30 p.m., the first Monday of each month. The Gentry Planning and Zoning Commission meets in city hall at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month.
Gentry School Board
The Gentry School Board holds regular meetings at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of each month in the school district board room.
Springtown Council
The Springtown Council meets at 6 p.m., on the second Tuesday of each month, in the new community building.
Highfill Council
The Highfill Town Council will hold its next regular meeting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the community building. The next planning commission meeting will be at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Highfill Community Building.
Singing services
Monthly singing services at Falling Springs Church are held at 7 p.m., the first Friday of each month. The church is located northwest of Gentry on Falling Springs Road.
Fall Revival
Cornerstone Baptist Church will be holding a fall revival on Oct. 4-7, with Evangelist Sam Moore. Sunday services are at 11 a.m.
and 6 p.m. Services will be held at 7 p.m.
Monday through Wednesday. Everyone is invited to attend. The church is located at 24450 Floyd Moore Road at Cherokee City, outside of Gentry. For more information, contact the church at 736-5400.
Cowboy Church
The Decatur Sale Barn Cowboy Churchwill begin holding Sunday services at the Decatur Livestock Auction Sale Barn on Oct.
4. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Bible classes begin at 9 a.m., and Sunday worship will be at 10:30 a.m. Tim Wallace is the pastor.

Awards night
Gentry Masonic Lodge No. 222 will be having its annual awards night at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8. The event is open to the public, with a potluck dinner before the ceremonies.
GHS Band Boosters
The Gentry High School Band Boosters meet at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in the high school band room.
Gentry Athletic Booster Club
The Gentry Athletic Booster Club will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6, in the home economics classroom at Gentry High School. The club is planning to have a booth at Gentry's Fall Festival on Oct. 10.
Class of '84
The Gentry High School Class of 1984 will be having a reunion from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, at the High School before the football game, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the small pavilion in the city park. VFW Meetings
The Gentry/Decatur VFW Post meets on the first Tuesday of each month - at 7:30 p.m. during the summer and at 7 p.m. during the winter. New members and guests are welcome. The facility is 3 miles east of Decatur on Arkansas Highway 102, right on Tilly's Hill Road, and the first building on the right.
