BIG ITEMS, CURBSIDE- Trash Pick Up Is Next Tuesday In Gravette

Gravette residents will be able to take advantage of a special “trash pickup” next Tuesday, April 13, during the city’s annual Spring Cleanup.

Roll-Off Sanitation will be conducting the curbside pickup as part of the firm’s contract with the city. A similar pickup is held during autumn.

Among the items which will be picked up are furniture, appliances (refrigerators must have the freon removed and so tagged), metal items and large items not normally collected during the regular weekly pickup each Tuesday.

“There is no extra charge for this service,” Mayor Bill Howard said. “Persons should have the items at curbside early next Tuesday morning,” he added.

The Mayor emphasized that Roll-Off will NOT pick up items such as tires, paint, any hazardous waste, pesticides, etc., oil, herbicides, batteries, etc.

Also yard waste and construction materials, including wood, shingles, etc., WILL NOT be picked up.

If you have questions about a particular item, contact City Hall, 787-5757, for information.
