DECA Students Win Honors At Recent State Conference

Gravette High School DECA students came home with numerous honors after attending the state competition held recently in Rogers.

DECA is an association of marketing students, said Bob Johnson, sponsor of the organization.

Students from schools throughout the state were in attendance and the GHS Quiz Bowl team, seniors Chris Cowgur, Mackenzie Wallace and Shelby Goff and junior and Jenna Brown, placed first overallSiren Test At Noon

This Wednesday Weather Permittingamong 16 teams competing.

“Jenna Brown will compete in Marketing Accounting at nationals in Louisville, KY, in April and students will also be entered into a Leadership Academy and receive certificates in Marketing,” Johnson said.

Hailey Morrison, Sports and Entertainment.

Christian Lovell, Hospitality and Tourism.

Hailey House, Apparel and Accessories.

Jessica Price, Financial Services.

Chelsea Porter, Sports and Entertainment.

Chelsea LaBraque, Hospitality and Tourism.

Jenna Brown, Fourth, Marketing Accounting.

Chris Cowgur, Buying and Merchandising.

McKenzie Wallace, First, Marketing Business Services.

Chad Houtchens, Financial Services.

Shelby Goff, Sixth, Sportsand Entertainment.

Seth Rutherford, Buying and Merchandising.

“Everyone did an outstanding job during the conference,” Johnson said.

“The Gravette High School DECA program students are in the process of acquiring funds for a trip to Nationals in Kentucky and the students appreciate the support they receive from the district, the parents, the teachers and the community,” Johnson declared.
