Floyd Cooper

Floyd Cooper, 81, of Gravette, died April 4, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born January 28, 1929, in Poplar Dell, FL, the son of Odie Lee Carnley and Ellis T. Cooper.

Mr. Cooper was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a DelChamps grocery store manager in Mobile, AL, before moving to Northwest Arkansas. He was a member of Northwest Arkansas Good Sam’s RV Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace.

Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Parker and husband Frank of Gravette; one son, Willard Watts, Jr. and wife Wanda of Mobile; one sister, Lottie Williams of Pensacola, FL; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service is at 1 p.m. this Wednesday, April 7, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with Don Allen officiating.

Bobby Stacy

Bobby Lee Stacy, 26, of Gravette, died March 29, 2010. He was born April 27, 1983, the son of Larry Stacy and Claudia Martin Ross.

Survivors include his parents; his step-grandmother, Elizabeth Stacy; maternal grandparents Larry and Hallie Martin; godmother Marge Sterner; brothers Larry Joshua Stacy and Sean Moss; sisters Misty Wells, Keshia Moss, Amy Lynn Lindsey and Brancy Stacy; nephews Corbin and Alex; nieces Carmen and Karyn; and cousin Paul.

A memorial walk was held Monday, April 5, at the Martin farm, 16338 Highway 72 West, Gravette. Friends and family met afterwards at the Gravette Civic Center.

An AARP Driver Safety Program class has been scheduled at the Billy V. Hall Senior Center in Gravette Monday, April 19, from 12:30 to 5 p.m.

This class is especially designed for drivers over the age of 55. “Completion of the course for these students qualifies them to receive an automobile insurance discount in the State of Arkansas,” said Fred Ridgeway, AARP volunteer.

A $14 fee covers the cost of required materials. AARP members qualify for a $2 discount if they provide their membership card and membership number.
