Martin Ellis Capehart

Martin Ellis Capehart, 75, of Gentry, died March 31, 2010, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs

He was born June 13, 1934, in Adair, Iowa, to Ray Ellis Capehart and Gladys Morgan Capehart. He was an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church. He married Zelda Hallowell in Cedar Creek Friends Church in Henry County, Iowa, on July 14, 1956. He has lived in the Gentry area since 1994.

Survivors include his wife Zelda, of the home; five sons, Martin Capehart Jr. and wife Sherry of Bentonville, Paul Capehart of Springtown, Daniel Capehart of Columbia Falls, Mont., Stephen Capehart of Springtown, and Joel Capehart and wife Kamela of Siloam Springs; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Palmer of Miltonville, Kan., and Jeanne Cunningham, of Seligman, Mo.; and one brother, David Capehart, of Lowell.

Funeral services were April 3 at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs with David Hassell and the Raymond Anderson officiating. Burial followed at Springtown Cemetery in Springtown.

Memorial donations may be made to Overseas Missionary Fellowship International.

Bobby Lee Stacy

Bobby Lee Stacy, 26, of Gravette, died March 29, 2010, in Tulsa, Okla.

He was born April 27, 1983, to Larry Stacy and Claudia Martin Moss.

He is survived by his parents; stepmother, Elizabeth Stacy; maternal grandparents Larry and Hallie Martin; two brothers, Larry Stacy and Sean Moss; and four sisters, Misty Wells, Keisha Moss, Amy Lindsey and Brandy Stacy.

The Cremation Society of Oklahoma was in charge of arrangements.

James “Bo” Bibb Swearingen

James “Bo” Bibb Swearingen, 32, of Gentry, died April 3, 2010, in a traffic accident near Winslow.

He was born June 11, 1977, in Fayetteville, to his parents David and Jannie Bibb.

He joined the United States Army in 1995 and servedin Operation Iraq Freedom. He achieved the rank of Sgt. First Class and was awarded the Audey Murphy medal, a bronze star and numerous medals and awards during his military career.

He is survived by his parents, David and Jannie Bibb of Springdale, daughters Carli and Taylor Mareth of Rogers, sister Jill Jackson andher husband Jeremy, grandparents Jerry and DeMona Reeves, Hale and Theo Bibb, biological father-Jim Swearingen and wife Janice of Springdale, sisters Martha Anne and Alicia Swearingen of Springdale, Heather Swearingen of Las Vegas, Nev., and Amanda Springston of Fayetteville

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

The funeral will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, with Daniel Dickard officiating. Committal will be at 2 p.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Fayetteville National Cemetary or the Springdale Christian Church CUP Ministry.

Arrangements are by Backstom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.

Lori Beth Sligar Swearingen

Lori Beth Sligar Swearingen, 41, of Gentry, died April 3, 2010, in a traffic accident near Winslow.

She was born Dec. 22, 1968, in Winchester, Kan., toDarrell Sligar and Karen Kampmeier Sligar. She graduated from Monett, Mo., High School in May 1987 and Missouri Southern State University with a degree in criminal justice. She was a member of the Springdale Christian Church and was active in handbell choirs in Monett and Springdale. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, Combat VeteransMotorcycle Association and Patriot Guard Riders.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Kampmeier Sligar; and grandparents Lester and Grace Kampmeier, and Elwood and Roma Sligar.

She is survived by daughters Taylor and Carli Mareth of Lowell, her father Darrell Sligar and stepmother Jane Sligar, of Monett, Mo.; sister Leigh Hobson, of Olathe, Kan.; brothers Kevin Sligar, his wife Pam of Monett, Scott Sligar and his wife Amy of Lenexa, Kan., Eric Sligar and his wife Natalie of Kansas City, Mo.; stepsister Amy Schoen and her husband Jeff of Springfield, Mo.; stepsister, Lori Daily and her husband Corbin of Riverside, Calif.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.
