Edith Baumgardner

Edith Marie Baumgardner, 67, of Sulphur Springs, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at Bentonville Manor. She was born February 7, 1943, in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of Lena Marie Schaub Hoffert and the late Arthur Lewis Hoffert.

She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and on January 13, 1962, she married James Franklin Baumgardner. She moved to Sulphur Springs from Missouri in September 1982. She was a homemaker and was instrumental in making the centennial quilt for Sulphur Springs.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Bumgardner; two sons, Todd Bumgardner and wife Dee of Joplin and Rod Bumgardner of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Robin Bumgardner of Sulphur Springs and Pam Beasley and husband Jim of Gruver, TX; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her mother, Marie Felton of Lincoln, IL; and two brothers, Rick and Ernest Hoffert, both of Middleton, IL.

Graveside services were held April 6 at Butler Creek Cemetery with Pastor David Barber officiating. Arrangements were by Ozark Funeral Home of Noel.

Bennie Crowley

Bennie Ray Crowley, 39, of Joplin, MO, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Meadows Care Center in Joplin. He was born June 13, 1970, in Gravette, the son of Donald Ray and Linda Sue Philpott Crowley.

Mr. Crowley was a order filler for Wal-Mart. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Brittany Crowley of Gravette and Hayley Nicole Martin of Siloam Springs; one son, Dalton Young of Oklahoma; five brothers, John Tucker of Gravette, Toby Crowley of Sulphur Springs, Ronnie Crowley, Rickie Crowley and Randy Crowley, all of Wichita, KS; and one sister, Lisa Jones of Gravette.

Funeral service was held Friday, April 9, at Wasson Chapel in Siloam Springs with Lonnie Witt officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Wasson Funeral Home.
