Mt. Pleasant had our week at Care and Share the week of March 30 through April 3. As usual we had a great time and worked hard.

We had an Easter egg hunt for the little ones on Saturday, April 3. We had lots of kids and lots of eggs.

Easter Sunday sunrise service was well attended. After services John Philliber made breakfast for all of us. Good job, John.

Friday, April 2, Vern and Gloria Laughlin took Tasha and Chloe Duke to lunch while mom, Kasey, had a business appointment. They then went to the bookstore to buy books for Tasha’s birthday.

Kasey and girls and Gloria’s mother, Edna Jordan, had Easter dinner with Vern and Gloria. After dinner Kasey and girls had to go back to Texas. William was not able to come with Kasey and girls as he had to take care of a sick dog.

Howard and Cathleen Spears hosted a family dinner after church on Easter Sunday. Those attending were Betty and Blake Red, David and Charlotte Spear, Lisa Spears, Darrin, Christi, Matt and Hollyann Phillips, Bobbie, Lindsay and Charlie McDougal, Wanda Trembly and Patricia and Stephanie Boling. There was lots of good food and fellowship.

Susan Edgmon held a surprise birthday dinner for Bill on Friday evening, April 8. Those attending were John, Karen, Haley and Jacob Edgmon, Darlene and Louise McVay, Linda Sanders, Wilma Fladager, Phyllis Burnett, Beverly Nelson, Gavin Nelson, Jessica and Gary Williams, Lindsay and Brennan Hitson, Jonas, Heather, Gabe, Abi and Ema Edgmon, Karen and Jim Grigg and Robert, Chris Nelson and friend, Carla Stacy, Davett, Ervin and Nicki Brandenburg. John did all the grilling of the burgers and hot dogs. We had a good time. Happy Birthday, Bill.

On Sunday, April 11, Mt. Pleasant took the kids to the bowling alley in Gentry for an afternoon of fun. Young and old, we had a good time.

Saturday, April 10, Darlene and Louise McVay spent the afternoon at a horse show in Fayetteville with Grandma Kristy Bertschy. They had a great time.

Alec Laughlin came down and mowed Papaw and Mamaw Laughlin’s lawn. They went to the bookstore to buy Alec books for his twelfth birthday which will be April 21. Tasha Duke had her tenth birthday on April 10. Happy Birthday, Alec and Tasha.
