Senior Center Report

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

— Once again it is time for our annual fundraiser push. This is the thirteenth year, during the months of March and April, the Feinstein Foundation will give away one million dollars in a campaign to fight hunger. The more donations we receive from donors like you, the more money we will receive to fight hunger locally.

We just want to remind you of how thankful we are to have such a wonderful place here in Gravette for our seniors to come to. The Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center serves citizens 60 years and older or the spouse of an age 60+ person who participates in the program. Our services are low cost and, although we receive some Federal and State funding, we must generate money locally to help meet operating expenses.

This is where our many fundraisers come into play and monetary donations from generous individuals and businesses. Why?

1. Food costs, gasoline to operate our vans, utility costs, etc., continue to rise. INFLATION!

2. The senior populations growing each year. Local donations play a huge part in keeping our seniors healthy and independent. Without donations we will not be able to meet the demands of rising operational cost.

Your donations are very important. We thank each of you who continue to give in support of the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center. We encourage everyone to Please Donate!

A Baked Potato Fundraiser will be held on Friday, April 16, at the Center at 5:30 p.m. Meal will include baked potato, toppings for potato, dessert and a beverage for $6. Take out will be available.
