War Eagle Appreciation Celebration Will Be An Event Of May 15

— The fourth annual War Eagle Appreciation Day will be held Saturday, May 15, at Withrow Springs State Park.

Activities include a family friendly educational float on the War Eagle, with canoes launching from 9 to 11 a.m. A paddling demonstration for beginners will be held from 9:30 to 10 a.m.

The public is invited to visit educational booths from 9 to 11 a.m. at Crossbow Pavilion, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Huntsville Chamber offices on the square and from 9 a.m. to5 p.m. at the Crossroads of the Ozarks Festival on the square. Educational exhibits will focus on water quality, history of the area, environmental issues, agriculture and safety.
