Two local Community Blood Center of the Ozarks blood drives are set for next Wednesday, April 28, in the Gentry and Decatur area.
The first will be held from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. in Gentry, at the Arvest Bank, 320 East Main Street.
The second will be held in Decatur from 2 to 5 p.m. at Decatur Medi Clinic, 346 N. Main Street.
Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds, being in general good health and presenting the required identification.
Current blood inventories at Community Blood Center of the Ozarks include at least a three-day supply for most blood types, a CBCO release states. Although levels are adequate, it takes around 275 donations per day to meet the needs of the 36 hospitals that use CBCO products, the release says.
