GRAVETTE — Have you ever wondered how Gravette’s population has increased in recent years?

The figures may surprise you, even the fact that during one 10 year period the city decreased by 39 persons.

Listed below are the population figures starting in 1940 and in each of the ten year censuses through the last one in 2000:

1940 - 865; 1950 - 894;1960 - 855; 1970 - 1,154; 1980 - 1,218; 1990 - 1,412; 2000 - 1,810.

What do you think the population will be when the 2010 figures are certified? Will you be counted?
