Gentry soccer teams finishing well

— The girls' soccer team won a friendly match 4-0 against Siloam Springs junior-varsity team last Thursday, in the team's only action of the week.

Kendra Boyd scored two, Kanisha Eckart one, and Courtney Millsap one.

The team was set to play another friendly match against Bentonville JV inGentry on Tuesday, after press time, before returning to conference play here at 2 p.m. on Saturday, against Shiloh for the conference championship.

Both Gentry and Shiloh are undefeated in conference at 6-0 coming into the last regular season match.

The Gentry boys beat Decatur in conference play in a 1-0 game on April6. They then lost to Huntsville 4-0 and finished conference play, beating Bergman 7-1.

"I am proud of these young men and the way they have stuck together and continued to improve. The Seniors have shown great leadership and encouragement to the younger guys," said Gentry boys' coach Chuck Jones.
