GRAVETTE — Members of New Life Church in Centerton were in Gravette Sunday afternoon giving surprised motorists $10 in free gas at the Gravette station and gift cards for groceries at Marvin’s.

This is the first visit by the church to Gravette, said Amanda Elsea, who headed the group which has had similar give-aways in Centerton and Bentonville. The church’s theme is “Seeking God, Loving People, MakingDisciples” and could include the message “Serving and Sharing God’s Love”.

More than $2,500 in free gas/gift cards was distributed locally. Church members also were in several locations in Bentonville and Centerton Sunday.

Elsea said last year the church, which is pastored by Cass and Sarah Hill, touched lives with more than $40,000 in similar gifts.
