Arlee Blankinship

Arlee Blankinship, 74, of Hot Springs, died Monday, April 19, 2010. He was born January 9, 1936, in Gravette, the son of Thomas and Sarah Alice Hall Blankinship.

Mr. Blankinship lived in Gravette area most of his life where he was a retired sales manager for Arkansas Western Gas Company.

He was a deacon in Park Place Baptist Church, a member of Gideons International, Bridge House and Jail Ministries in Hot Springs. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Thomas Greene Blankinship; two brothers, Brice Blankinship and Jessie Blankinship; one sister, Dell Faye Townsend; and four half-brothers, Clifford, Burt, Ben and Marion Blankenship.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Blankinship, of 201 Pullman Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901; one son, Berl Blankinship of Hindsville, AR; and two sisters, Eva Rayman and Cassie Pitts, both of Kansas City, MO.

A memorial service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Park Place Baptist Church with pastors Carlos Trapp and Coy Sample officiating. Arrangements were by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
