Mt. Pleasant News

This has been a good week for me. Larry Holloway got by and plowed my garden and we have had some good rain. My special blackberries are about in full bloom. I’m hoping for a bumper crop.

Nancy and Calvin Raines and daughter Faith came down from Ellington, MO, to visit her parents, Barbara and Earl Farley. Barbara is a breast cancer survivor so she, Nancy and Faith walked in the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. It was an amazing experience for Nancy as this is the first year to walk with her mom. Faith got to visit with her cousins and go to church with her Nana. The visit was great and plans to come back to visit are inthe makings.

Sympathy is extended to Gayla Bright and Shannon Burnett in the passing of Gayle’s mom, Shannon’s grandma. Gayla and Shannon, you are in our prayers.

Ethan McVay got to spend the night with me on Saturday and go to church with us on Sunday. These overnight visits are too few. He is sure fu.

I talked with my sister, Beverly Nelson, one day this week. She is preparing for a birthday party for my grandson, Gavin Nelson, on Saturday, May 1. Happy birthday (early), Gavin.

I hope everyone has a blessed week. Pray for one another. God bless.

Dean, we miss you.
