GENTRY — Bloomfield 4-H hosted its fourth annual livestock show on Saturday at Gentry City Park, with more than 150 people and exhibitors in attendance.
Weigh-in began at 7:30 a.m., with the show starting at 9 a.m.
Everyone participating in the showmanship event received a prize. Anyone wanting the experience of showing a goat “borrowed” an animal and was allowed to show it at the end of the event.
A free boxed lunch was served and door prizes — some including passes to the Benton County Fair — were given out to children and adults.
The Gentry show was the last opportunity for kids to practice with their animals before the fair August 18-22.
The grand champion was Maci Davis. She won a chair, goat sock and $50 cash prize.
Reserve grand champion was Dustin Dixon. He won a chair, goat sock and $25 cash prize.
Cloverbud Showmanship winner was Taylor Rhodes. He won an embroidered blanket, lead rope and $10 cash prize.
Junior Showmanship winner was Matthew Nance. He won an embroidered blanket, lead rope and $10 cash prize.
Senior Showmanship winner was Dustin Dixon. He won an embroidered blanket, lead rope and a belt buckle key chain.
