We will surely get some rain next week. Saturday, August 14, is Gravette Day. The Benton County Fair opens Wed., August 18, and Gravette schools start Thursday, August 19.

Pam Bertschy has returned home after a vacation trip to Paducah, Ky.

Sympathy is extended to Annette Banks and her family at the loss of her brother.

Billy Habermehl was unable to attend church after dropping a building timber on his already-injured toe.

Larry and Regina Keith made another trip on Sunday to see Regina’s dad, who was in poor health.

Those having lunch with me on Sunday, Aug. 1, were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Dale Lynn and Lamarise Carrier.

Sympathy is extended to the Mahon family. Paul was well known in the area and will be missed by many.

Amanda Hamilton fixed supper on Sunday evening and had the family in to celebrate Robert Paul’s birthday.

Robert and Geneva Hamilton and Novella Carlton went out to eat at Outback Saturday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carver and Jake and Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Gregg and Autumn spent the weekend in Branson, Mo.

We wish Coach Mobley a speedy and complete recovery.

Marketta Puryear escaped injury on Tuesday when she rolled her vehicle on Hwy. 279 N.

Sympathy is extended to Regina Keith and family. Her dad passed away on Wednesday.
