— Five generations of the Payne Family celebrated their 30-year reunion on August 13, 15 and 15, 2010.

We missed all who couldn’t attend. We especially missed Bob, Bobbie and Timmy Wineberg who were in a motor vehicle accident about an hour from home. They totaled their van but, thank God, not themselves and had to rent a car and go back home to Gainesville, Fla. Bob was able to give the blessing via speaker phone on Sunday and an added thanks to Him that they are all okay, just sore.

The weekend kicked off on Friday in Gentry at the home of Delbert and Jo for a cookout and pool party. On Saturday over 50 of us rode or walked with our “We’re Here for our 30th Anniversary” float in the Gravette parade. Saturday night we met at the Civic Center for pizza, dominoes, cards and general visiting.

On Sunday we again met at the Civic Center for eating, games and our family auction with a total of 75 in attendance.

Our out-of-state family included Nikki Zinn and sister Bethany Rose of Phoenix, Ariz. Attending from Oklahoma were Uncle Delbert O’Neal and May Baker of Grove, Delbert Monroe and Arleeta O’Neal of Sand Springs and Rick and Janet Payne, Wendy First and sons Luke and Stefen, Tia Cullen and Candy Williams and children John Wayne, Matt and Rebecka of Vinita.

Hal and Patti Cumming came from Coppell, Texas, and brought children Patrick and Rachal to Fayetteville to the U of A. This is Rachal’s freshman year.

Mandi Whitemore, Risa and Randal Buckner and friends Taylor Helm and Coty Cuppers came from Anderson, Mo., Paula Nicholson from Harrisonville, Mo., and Paul Tate from Kansas City.

Attending from Arkansas were Delbert Payne and Jo Jackson of Gentry, Tyler and Layla Eason and daughter Abby of Cherokee City, Gayle Turner, daughter Jane and granddaughter Audrey of Rogers, Shawna Campbell of Lowell, Leif and Amy Garrett of Decatur, Mandy Payne, Andrew Montague, Kenya Payne and David Woodruff of Fayetteville.

Don and Nancy Payne, Doug Payne, John Payne, Steve, Timmy and Sarah Payne, Debbie Buckner and Randy, Tina, Allie and Christopher Boling came from Bentonville, Brian and Cheryl Bowen and sons Hayden and Hogan from Springdale and Donnie Lee, Marilyn and Emily Payne from Bella Vista.
